Some file formats record the dimensions of the prepared working properly so we recommend using flattened (no layers) TIFF files.
Resolution raster graphics depends on the size, basically the distance from which it will be viewed. Higher resolution improves the quality of print, of course, but extends the file operations. The proper selection of resolution in the table below will help (DPI resolution):
